About

Kamichiku is located in Kagoshima prefecture of Kyusyu deviating south of Japan. Kagoshima prefecture has 312,400 Japanese cattles (for beef) and boasts the largest production volume than other prefectures. Kagoshima prefecture named best prefecture of Wagyu and became the most important area of Wagyu both in quality and quantity.
Different from their competitors in Japan, the Kamichiku Group not only consistently carries out cattle breeding, fattening, slaughter and cutting, but also sales and distribution. They even produce fermented feed given to cattles by themselves. This is important not only to maintain the quality of the meat but also to secure the safety. Also, by not relying on imported feed, it’s possible to minimize the fluctuation in beef prices due to changes in feed costs

The quality of Wagyu depends on various factors, but the Kamichiku Group give importance on the details of their daily occupation. They are focusing on securing human resources and education, because they believe it is each staff’s devotion that supports their company. Their goal is to be the best stock farming professional group in Japan
